Lauren Rad is a former lawyer turned knitwear designer who focuses on knits with lots of texture and easily memorized stitch patterns. She took up knitting in law school to cope with stress and found deep comfort in the rhythmic repetition of stitching. That sense of peace drives her design philosophy, which centers on patterns that are just interesting enough to be engaging but not so complex that they lead to frequent mistakes. Lauren lives in California with her husband and small child. When she’s not knitting, you can usually find her puttering about in her rose garden or collecting shells and sea glass at the beach.
